The Role
We are currently seeking a casual (qualified) Fitter and Turner to assist with day-to-day manufacturing activities to manage increased demand as required.
Daily manufacturing activities will include CNC/CAD operation, fabrication, welding and sheet metal work, working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and possible on site (client) installations or maintenance.
Role Requirements
- A strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering principles with a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites
- Experience in fabrication, welding and sheet metal work and proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools
- Proficiency in CNC Machine operation and experience with CAD software and CNC programming
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience with machine installation and commissioning
- Strong experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and experience with measuring and testing equipment
